Your privacy is fundamental to our design. Thai Calendar ("the App") keeps your notes, reminders, leave plans, and settings on your device. We do not create user accounts and we do not sync your personal calendar content to our own servers.
Privacy at a Glance
1. Local-Only Information
The following information is stored exclusively on your device. We have no technical means to access or view this data on our servers:
- Notes & Reminders: Personal notes, holiday/holy-day reminders, alert times, and repeat settings.
- Leave Planning: Planned days off and custom leave type configurations.
- Settings & Preferences: Language, selected Thai province, appearance, colors, tab layout, and similar preferences.
- Cached Weather: Recent weather responses for your selected province, kept locally for faster loading.
Deleting the App removes this local data from the device. There is no developer cloud backup of your notes or leave plans.
2. Information Used by Third-Party Services
We work with trusted providers to run ads (free version), process subscriptions, improve the App, and show weather:
Google AdMob (Free Version)
The free version may show ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers (including IDFA when permitted) and advertising data for ad delivery, frequency capping, and measurement. Personalized advertising is subject to your choice in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline tracking, ads may still appear in a non-personalized form. Premium removes ads from the App.
PostHog (Product Analytics)
We use PostHog to understand anonymous feature usage and improve the App. This may include events such as app opens, tab views, onboarding steps, paywall interactions, and reminder metadata (for example, whether alerts are enabled — not the text of your notes). We may also attach non-sensitive preferences such as language, selected province, and Premium status. PostHog does not receive the contents of your notes, leave titles, or reminder text. Analytics may run for both free and Premium users.
Apple StoreKit
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive purchase/entitlement information needed to unlock Premium and restore purchases. We do not see your payment card details.
Apple WeatherKit
When weather is shown, the App requests weather for the coordinates of your selected Thai province from Apple WeatherKit. The App does not use continuous device GPS for this feature. Weather responses may be cached on your device.
Support Content
If you contact us by email, we collect your email address and message content solely to assist you.
3. Advertising, Analytics & Premium
- Free version: May show AdMob ads. Tracking for personalized ads follows your ATT choice.
- Premium: Removes ads across the App. Premium does not disable anonymous product analytics used to improve features.
- No accounts: The App does not require sign-in and does not sync personal notes to a Rottnak Labs cloud.
4. Data Ownership & Deletion
- Your notes and leave data remain on your device under your control.
- Deleting the App removes local App data from that device.
- Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID: Manage Subscriptions.
